It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Johnston of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 12, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Smith and Helen Smith; her spouse Thomas W. Johnston, Jr.; her child Thomas E. Johnston, II; and her sisters, Isabelle McGrody and Elizabeth "Betty" Dike.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan L. Johnston (Robert Stein) and Elizabeth Ann Johnston; her daughter-in-law Joanne Johnston; her grandchildren, Shannon, Shaun, Michael and Sarah; her great grandchildren, Brianna, Justin and Lemar; and her sister Peggy Ann Friday.
