He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Douglas and Iva Douglas; and his siblings, Ernest Lyons, Edwin Lyons Jr., Augusta Chandler, Isabella Holler and Leona Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna S. Douglas (Katie Leigh) and David D. Smith (Ricky C.); his close friend Cliff Smith; and also Victoria Douglas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
