He was predeceased by: his former wife Effie Ann Ryan; his son Timothy John Houghton; and his siblings, Lillian Houghton, George F. Houghton and Harry D. Houghton.
He is survived by: his wife Carol B. Houghton (Glover); his son Jeffrey S.; his daughter-in-law Darlene Houghton; his daughter Penny M. Reed; his stepchildren, Cheyanne, Keevin Kenyon, Sandra, Gary Marlin, Daniel, Diane Botts, Karen, Larry Porter, Trudy and Nick Perez; his brother Elmer; and his sister-in-law Anne Houghton. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
