He was predeceased by: his parents, Strickler Young and Edith Young (Smith); his spouse Shirley Erdman; his son-in-law Scott Brown; and his grandson Jason Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Young Jr. (Deb), George Young (Lisa), Diane Brown and Kay Fenstermacher (Jim); and his sister Joanne Hoch (Bill). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
