She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Edwards and Ruth Edwards (Thomson); her son Brian Peiffer; and her brothers, Harry and Paul Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Ruthann Freeman, Janet Rodnick (Nicholas), Richard Peiffer (Annette) and David Peiffer; and her siblings, Robert, John "Jack", George Edwards and Sara "Ella" Krause. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
