It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Cheryl Houser of Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, born in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Houser and Kathryn Wendt (Zucuskie); her son Harold Tonkin; and her sisters, Gail Kiselesky and Charlotte Normand.
She is survived by: her children, John "Jack" Tonkin, Jr. (Shawn) of Lehighton, George Tonkin of Minnesota and Nicole Cope of Summit Hill; and her siblings, Edward Houser (Cheryl) of Indiana, Kay Ann Magiera of Illinois, Leonard Houser of Florida and Kenneth Breiner of Illinois. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
