She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Irvin and Pauline Brosius Burkett; her husband William E. Stephens; her daughter Janit Stephens; and her brother William Irvin Burkett.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Stephens, Donald Stephens and Tammy Stephens Phillips (Richard); her siblings, David Burkett (Ruth), Carol A. Minnick (Harold) and Wanda Bowser (Terry); her grandchildren, Sheldon Phillips, Nicole Ruffner (Dave), Brooke Stephens and Ryder Stephens; and her great grandchild Zachery Ruffner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended members of her family.
In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations be made in her memory to the Red Cross.
