Predeceased by Joe's brother, Jack Gilligan and Joe's son Joseph Edwin Gilligan Jr. Due to the pandemic the Gilligan family has chosen to hold a celebration of life at a later date to honor the life of Joe and allow those close to him to do so under safer conditions.
