He is survived by: his wife Helen (Brooks) of Summerville; his son James R. Slagle, Jr. (Lynette) of Knox; his grandchildren, Matthew J. Slagle (Kristen), Kristen L. Radaker (Mark) and Katie N. Sayers; his son-in-law Rodney Sayers (Heidi) of Summerville; and his siblings, Carl Slagle of Brookville and Shelva Rearick of New Bethlehem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
