She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Mills and Lucille Reed Mills; and her sister Mary Adams. She is survived by: her husband John M. Hartzell, Sr.; her children, John Hartzell, Jr. (Marybeth), Matthew Hartzell and Debra Hartzell; her brother Gene Mills (Linda); her grandchildren, Emma Cencich (Sebastian), Cody, John III (Megan Butter), Isaac, Abigail and Lauren; and her great grandchildren, Carter Cencich and Sophia Cencich. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Summerville Public Library.
