He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren W. Whitmire and Zella Whitmire (Schultz); and his daughter-in-law Melissa Whitmire. He is survived by: his children, Vernon T. Whitmire (Noreen, Berwick), Bradley Whitmire (Richard Magoch, Walden) and Cindy May of Berwick; and his brothers, Kenneth Whitmire (Carol, Berwick), Willis Whitmire (Sandy, Berwick), Nelson "Elmer" Whitmire (Sharon, Berwick) and Dennis Whitmire (Erica, Arizona). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
