He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Knapp and Alice R. Knapp (Howlett); and his siblings, Alice Falkowski, Eileen Lape, Jack, Jerry and James Knapp.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Mayes (Joseph), Rebecca Mayes, Linda Naylor (Bud Smay), Roxanne Sandoval, Jennifer Miller, Tanneryville and Shannon Boyer; and his sisters, Kathleen Povich and Lorna Ylisela. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
