He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Leroy and Mary Pier (MacLeod); and his grandchildren, Thomas and Emily Todd. He is survived by: his wife Trudi Pier; his daughters, Laura Maron and Linda Jamison of Sharps Chapel, TN; and his grandchildren, Katie Erickson, Megan Jamison, Mary-Beth Kennedy of Bedford, VA and James Edward Douglas McGuirk of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
