He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Shuman and Beulah Shuman (Hayes). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca C. Welsh; his children, Justin Ackerman (Tracy), Melodee Shuman (Gino Schifano) and Michelle Shuman (Benjamin Broskoskie); his grandsons, Brantley and Garrett Ackerman; and his siblings, Sharon Paden and Donald Shuman (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
