It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary E. Tinna of Sugar Run, Pennsylvania, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Rubin and Rita Ferrara Rubin; her sister Frances Cladek; her uncle Louis; and her aunt Jeanette Mercogliano.
She is survived by: her husband David Tinna; her children, Mical Williams (Spencer) of Binghamton, NY and Adam Ruff of Johnson City, NY; her stepsons, Dave Tinna of Mehoopany, PA. and Mike Tinna (Nicole) of Mehoopany, PA.; her grandchildren, Grace, John Cadden, Nicole, Austin Tinna, Mason, Alison, Molly and Emma Tinna; her siblings, Janet Swanson, Jim Rubin (Sandy), Kathryn Sheehan (Bob) and John Rubin (Alicia); and also, Gerald "Tim", Mary Tinna, Robert Tinna (Jason), Barb Sierotowicz (Joe), Rick Tinna (Nancy) and Ron Tinna (Shelly).
Due to the current pandemic, masks will be required to enter the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Mary has requested that donations be made to the Broome County Dog Shelter, 110 Cutler Pond Road, Binghamton, NY 13905, where she rescued some of her dogs but always said it was them that rescued her.
