He was predeceased by: his parents, Harland Lyon and Alice Pattyson Lyon; his sister Bonnie Lyon Armstrong; his great grandchild Braiden Scott Gould; his foster brother Jeff Calkins; and his half-brother William Lyon (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Paula Covell Lyon; his children, Howard Lyon Jr. "Howie", Tamela Simmons "Tammy" (Terry) of Sugar Grove and Christina "Tina" Lyon of Willoughby; his great grandchildren, Cameron Lyon, Keegan Gould of Jamestown, NY, Furbabies, Suzie and Lil Girl; and his brothers, Ronald Lyon "Ronnie" (Patty) of Jamestown, NY and Kenneth "Ken" Lyon (Jerome "Jerry" Johnson) of Sun City, AZ. He is also survived by grandchildren.
