He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Mae (Overpeck); his parents, Emil A. Schmidt and Lisa Schmidt (Muringer); and his brother Richard Schmidt. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Weber (Jed) of Stroudsburg and Diane Schmidt (Valerie Drinkwater) of Jonas; his grandchildren, David Driebe, Stephen Driebe and Kristine Weber; and his great grandchildren, Kaylin Fehrenbacher and Norah Driebe.
