She was predeceased by: her husband Nelson C. Shirk; her parents, Earl Miller and Laura Miller (Butz); her children, Karen Kaulfers and Johnny Smeltz; and her brother Alvin Mader.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Blystone of Stroud Township; and her sister Frances Roth of Marshalls Creek. She is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to American Cancer Society of St. Luke's Hospice.
