With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Theresa C. Akus (Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 4, 2021 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Theresa C. Akus to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Akus; her parents, William Davis and Mary Davis (Malverty); her children, Andrew Akus and Linda Kern; and her brother Albert Malverty.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Silfee (Paul) of Florida, Adele Hineline (Tim) of Stroudsburg, Laura Longyhore (William Thomas Jr.) of Jim Thorpe and Albert Akus (Linda) of Stroudsburg; her grandchildren, Kristie, Brenda, Shaun, Charles, Jason, Jessica and Amy; her great grandchildren, Noah, Symeon, Kyah, Kimber, Kaitlyn, Jonathon, Tyler and Blaze; her brother William Davis of Palmerton; and her friend June Hubert of Scranton. She is also survived by three nieces.
Due to current COVID health restrictions, the funeral home capacity is limited and friends and family are asked to follow CDC guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
