He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Kitt and Helen Kitt (Edwards). He is survived by: his sons, Matthew of Effort and Stephen Kitt of Effort; his siblings, Patrick Kitt (Cruz) of Kulpmont, Michael Kitt (Carmen) of Queens, NY, Kathleen Valles, William Kitt of New York, NY and Peter Kitt (Karen) of Coal Township; his godson Sean Kitt; his friends, Bob, Darleen Mostellar, Mike and Laura Volpe; and also, Maegan, Teddy, Matthew, Katie and Caroline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
