With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Halcomb of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Matthew Halcomb; her parents, Charles Iracondo and Pauline Iracondo (Leibowitz); her son Matthew P. Halcomb; and her sister Marian Caprista.
She is survived by: her daughter Dawn Kelshaw (Robert) of Port Richey, FL; her daughter-in-law Melissa Schorer of Stroudsburg; her grandchildren, Brandon Frable, Zachary Halcomb, Brianna Frable, Nathaniel Schorer, Kyle Kelshaw, Madison Schorer and Aaron Kelshaw; and her siblings, Michael Iracondo (Sharon), Carol Pomerantz (Julius) and Paula Honadel (Robert). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to current COVID health restrictions, the funeral home capacity is limited to fifty people; and friends and family are asked to follow CDC guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Joan was a supporter of the American Heart Association and Parkinsons Foundation Walk in New York City; and was also a New York Yankees fan.
