He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Kalbarchiek and Anna Kalbarchiek (Slaney); his wife Nancy (Serfass); his children, Jerome M. DeKalb Jr. (Sharon) of Stroudsburg, John W. DeKalb and Lauralee Beall of Virginia; his stepdaughter Deborah Atchison; his grandchildren, April, Jerome, Kaitlyn DeKalb, Robert and Cynthia Atchison; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Jordyn, Oliva and Aurora DeKalb; his daughters, Anna Allen and Jennifer DeKalb; and his stepson Norman Hink.
