It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Smith (Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania), born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 12, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Smith and Emily Smith (Young); and his daughter Leigh Balcik. He is survived by: his wife Joan A. Smith; his daughters, Sandra Snedden (Harry) of Stroudsburg and Jamie Marek of Morehead City, NC; and his stepchildren, Laura Paffenroth of Blackwood, NJ, Victoria McDonnell (Patrick) of Bluffton, SC, Andrew Paffenroth (Keli) of Glen Burnie, MD and David Paffenroth (Mimi) of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to a charity of one's choice.
