It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara M. (Tarnacki) McHugh of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert P McHugh Jr.; and her parents, Mary Tarnacki (Hupka) and Thomas Tarnacki. She is survived by: her sisters, Veronica Gorczyca and Josephine Melnick; her children, Hubert McHugh III (Linda), Michael T McHugh (Patricia), Joseph McHugh (Rose), Barry McHugh (Kathy), Linda (John Garrison), Virginia (Steve Knopf), Marie (Joe Strunk) and Claire (Lynn Marks); her brothers, John and Thomas Tarnacki Jr.; and her grandsons, Shaun Patrick McHugh and Matthew Spence Marks.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home (401 N 5th St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360). A Mass will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthews Catholic Church (78 Ridgeway St, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301).
