He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schaller and Anna Schaller (Snyder); his children, Craig Schaller and Cindy Serfass (Schaller); and his siblings, Paul Schaller, Robert Schaller, Claude Schaller and Sarah Schubert (Schaller).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schaller (Smith); his son John Schaller (Laurie); and his grandchildren, Todd Schaller, Victoria Schaller, Heather Walker (Serfass), James Serfass, Erin Huck (Schaller) and Derek Schaller. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
