He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Sr. Whitmer and Madaline Whitmer (Zimmerman); and his siblings, Robert E. Whitmer, Jr. and Sandy Lorenz. He is survived by: his wife Darlene J. (Dewitsky); his sons, Philip Whitmer of Long Island, NY and Brian Whitmer of Mountainhome; and his sister Janice Fegley of Burnside. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
