He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John and Anna Petrina Zimmer (Burkee); his wife Marlane; and his siblings, Virginia J. Berzenskis, Robert N. Zimmer and Maulsby Zimmer.
He is survived by: his children, Greta L. Zimmer of Stroudsburg, Bruce A. Zimmer of Unadilla, NY, Elise A. Cunningham of Stroudsburg, Heidi J. Hummer of Syracuse, NY and Ingrid M. Zimmer of Port Murray, NJ.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
