Prudence F. Young Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Prudence F. Young of Strattanville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hetrick and Martha Simpson Hetrick Kerr; her husband William V. Young; her stepfather Joseph Kerr; her son William James "Billy" Young; her granddaughter Kristy Young; and her siblings, Alma Smith, Phyllis Diller, Aldean McMillen, Gary Hetrick, Keith Hetrick and Ralph Hetrick.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Sauerland (Scott) of Tylersburg, Charlotte Kaltenbach (Tim) of Lucinda, John Young (Linda) of Strattanville, Janet Kerchinski (Ed) of Brookville and Betty Shea (Roger) of Chambersburg; her sister Helen Williams of Wyoming; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Hetrick of Ohio and Ruby Hetrick of New York. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home (638 Wood St, Clarion, PA 16214). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church (36 Church St, Corsica, PA 15829).
