He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton H. Metzler and Irene G. Metzler; and his sisters, Irene M. Livengood (David), Mary M. Carpenter (Homer) and Clare A. Metzler.
He is survived by: his wife Florence A. Metzler (Lefever); his children, Joseph E. Metzler (Jane R.) and Polly L. Hill (Ronald E.); his grandchildren, Jason Metzler (Kelsey), Jennelle Black (Jordon), Jacqueline Gordon (Andrew) and Bradley Hill; his great grandchildren, Jayler, Jahla Black, Brooks Metzler and Aubree Gordon; and his siblings, Blanche M. Church (Leroy), Esther M. Toller (Wayne), Evelyn L Metzler, Josephine G. Metzler, Pauline G. Metzler and J. Francis Metzler (late Debbie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church (1068 Chestnut Level Rd, Quarryville, PA 17566). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
