He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip Coon and Wanda Jane Coon (Hedglin); his stepparents, Wilbert Sayers and Elsie Quinn Coon; his brother Jerold Coon; and his grandson Devon.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Coon (Kim) and Richard Coon (Maddy); his former wife Rhonda Paden; and his siblings, Edward Quinn, Kenneth Sayers, Thomas Coon, Anna Rhoades and Rose Voorhies. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
