He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Trowbridge and Ivy Williams Trowbridge; and his siblings, Betty Jo Duenell, Emma Jean Hama, Marie Blom, Helen Trowbridge, Margie Trowbridge, Ronald Trowbridge and Donald Trowbridge.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Trowbridge; his children, Lori Mckinney, Daniel Dennis and Tammy Uber; his brother Teddy Trowbridge; his grandsons, Brandon Milliren and Justin Milliren; and his stepgranddaughter Jami Custer. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Walter's name to a charity of one's choice.
