He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph D. Trevitt and Frances E. Boyd Trevitt; his wife Betty Lou Trevitt (Vath); his son Robert E. Elder; and his siblings, Helen Painter and Walter S. Trevitt.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Gallagher (Charles) of Mercer, Shirley Yeager (Jack) of Sandy Lake and Frederick B. Elder (Barbara) of Stoneboro; his daughter-in-law Patty Elder of Clarks Mills; and his sisters, Margaret Boyd of Sandy Lake, Eleanor Smith (Robert) of Grove City and Kathleen Norville (John) of Maryland. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren.
