She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hecker and Florence Hecker; her husband Harry E. Slater; her sister Dot Small; and her half-brother Don Slingluff.
She is survived by: her sister Bonnie Kimmy; her children, Jennifer Gail Slater, Paula Fowler, Tim (Jami Slater) and Tom (Leigh Anne); her pet Otis Slater; and her grandchildren, Paul, Samantha, Zackery, Lucas, Jackie, Curtis, Stacy and Todd. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
