He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Everett "Bill" and Edna I. Seitz (Myers); and his brothers, Norman and Paul Seitz. He is survived by: his wife Blanche M. Seitz (Flaharty); his sons, Richard D. Seitz, Jr. (Francina) of Felton, PA and Todd A. Seitz (Shirley) of Stewartstown, PA; his grandchildren, Kelly Shaulis (Jakob), Charity Seitz, Jessica Grim (Corey) and Justin Seitz (Courtney); and his great grandchildren, Blake, Colton, Liam and Stella.
