He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaines C. Brooks and Flora M. Davis (Jackson); and his brother Harvey. He is survived by: his wife Joan E. Brooks (Fricker); his sons, Mike Brooks (Leslie) and Mark Brooks (Regina); his grandchildren, Matthew, Marissa and Kaitlyn; his siblings, Annette, Jeannette and John; his stepchildren, Bill Simmon and Donna Greiner; and his stepgrandchildren, Billy, Sabrina and Jolinda. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
