He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Thomas, Jr. and Rosalee Swanson Thomas; his wife Mary E. Swanson; his granddaughter Jada Lynne Greene; his grandparents, Edward Thomas Sr., Lizzie Thomas, Sidney Swanson and Celeste Swanson; his brothers, Robert Thomas and Donald Thomas; and his nephews, Shawn Thomas Jamison and Terelle Thomas.

He is survived by: his children, Belinda Terry of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Lateta Greene-Thompson of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Amechere Greene (Chonita) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Nadji Greene (Nichelle) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Jarelle Greene (Jennifer) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and his siblings, Maryann Thomas, Roy Thomas (Angelina), Celester Simms (Conley), Carl Thomas and Linda Thomas (Daisey). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
