It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alberta Ruffin (Steelton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 1, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon E. V. and Almeter Groves (Williamson); her former husband Reverend George Ruffin; her siblings, Pearlie Mae Groves, Rosie Lee Hall (James), Amanda Lee Lowery (Ronnie), E. V. Groves, Jr. (Leola), R. L. Groves (Sammie), Jimmy Groves (Eula) and Charlie C. Groves (Ora); and her daughter-in-law Evangelist.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Linder and Elder David C. Ruffin (Lillie) of Doddsville, MS; her grandchildren, Orlando A. Hill (Christa) of Brandon, MS, Shari D. Hill of Jackson, MS, SaRita Anderson (Eddie) of Indianola, MS, Jasmine Wright-Ruffin, Calvin L. Ruffin of Doddsville, MS, Byron K. Linder, Patrick B. Linder (Charity) of Harrisburg, PA, Chelsea D. Ruffin of Enterprise, AL, George E. Ruffin, Jr. of Birmingham, AL and Jenelle O. Ruffin of Biloxi, MS; and her great grandchildren, Nakyah D. Hill of Jackson, MS, Carson C. Hill of Brandon, MS, Ayanna D. Hill of Clinton, MS, Marsharae Ruffin of Doddsville, MS, Eddie Anderson, Jr. of Indianola, MS, Ariana R. Jones of Enterprise, AL, Makalia L. Linder, Jayden P. Linder and Tashaun P. Linder of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and her church family and friends.
