He is survived by: his wife Roxanne Ball Smith; his children, Michelle L. Smith-Plessinger (Frank) of Greencastle, PA, Jeannie M. Smith (Tony) of Hagerstown, MD and Jimmy G. Smith of State Line, PA; his grandchildren, Ashton Barnhart and Riley Smith; his close friend Rick Nicarry; his cousins, Pam Tetlow and Clifford Smith; his brothers-in-law, George C. Ball, Jr. and Jimmy Ball (Missy); his friend Freddy; and his caregivers, Brooke, Brianna and Lisa. He is also survived by numerous other extended family and friends.
