He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Stark and Sarah M. Stark (Lauck); his wife Katharine Stark (Nuebling); and his siblings, David, Newton, Calvin Stark, Daisy S. McLaughlin and Maxine Bathurst.
He is survived by: his children, Sally Stark (Steve Brechbuhl), William "Will" Stark, Jr. (Melissa) of State College and Jennifer Stark (Book Hower) of Centre Hall; and his granddaughters, Emily Stark of Helena and Katelyn Stark of State College. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his cat.
