He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Yosef Veniaminovich Berlyand and Valentina Ruvimovna Kusher; his wife Mayya Berlyand; his son Leonid Berlyand (Diana Berlyand); his grandchildren, Stas Berlyand, Ella Seitz (Berlyand) and Yosef Berlyand; and his great grandchildren, Arielle Berlyand and Talia Berlyand.
