He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rudolf Heinsohn and Grace Heinsohn; his wife Anne; his daughters, Janet (Robert Glass) of Albuquerque and Beth Heinsohn (Andrew Cohen) of Jersey City; his grandchildren, Rachel Glass (David Robertson), Laura Glass (Richard Curtin), Sarah Glass, Abigail Cohen and Jack Cohen; and his sisters, Audrey (Richard Hillsley) and Carolyn (John Baker). He was also cherished by eight nieces and nephews and 27 great-nieces and nephews.
