He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Henry and Carrie Rishel Houtz of State College. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Briggs Houtz; his sisters, Dorothy Morring of State College and Betty Russell of Douglasville; his sons, Richard Steven Houtz of Awendaw, S. C. and Craig Houtz of Bellefonte; and his sister Helene Foreman of Towanda.
