He is survived by: his wife Ruth I. McNew; his children, Samuel J. Rice (Diana) of Streetman, TX and Dawn Renee Daugherty (Thomas Ring) of Bellefonte; his nephew Joseph Wilson Kavadas of St. Louis, MO; and his grandchildren, Dominique Egbers, Samuel Jared Rice, Jeremy Console, John Rice, James Rice, Davion Rice and Savannah Ring.
