She was predeceased by: her husband Physics Professor Conrade C. Hinds; her parents, Mary Brinson (William L. Brinson) and William Brinson; her sister Mildred Burton; and her niece Deirdre Perry.
She is survived by: her son Andrew Alwin Jr.; her friends, Jack, Jill and Twentig; her daughter Dr. Suzanne Adair; her nephew Kevin Mavity (Theresa); and her niece Kristin Harper (Nathaniel).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Howard University's School of Social Work, in the name of Marion B. Adair-Hinds.
