He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Harpster and Violet Harpster (Griffin). He is survived by: his wife Irene Harpster (Zakutney) of State College, PA.; his sons, Jeffrey Harpster (Susan) of State College, PA and Steven Harpster (Angie) of Frederick, MD; his grandchildren, Carolyn Rose Harpster of Brooklyn, NY and Kenneth Dale Harpster II of State College, PA.; and his sisters, Emeline (Lina) and Hood (Lam) of State College, PA..
