He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McDonald and Margaret McDonald (Spence); his sisters, Dorothy Chen (William) and Marjory Rugh (Kenneth); and his parents-in-law, Jensen and Dorothy Mingle (Gharret).
He is survived by: his sibling Phi Delta Theta Fraternity; his close friend Patti (Mingle); his children, Dana (Susan Alden) of Hillsborough and Jennifer (Matthew Boal) of Leavenworth; his pet Matthew; his son Matthew of Miami, Florida; his grandchildren, Zachary, Alise and Morgan Boal of Leavenworth, Kansas; his sister-in-law Jerri Zerby (Rob) of Millheim; and his pet Rascal Jack. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
