He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Norval Cofer and Justine Rooney. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Therese Weilacher; his son Jonathan Charles Cofer, Jr. (Stacy) of Pittsburgh; his brother Thomas Cofer (Jan Hallick) of Torrance, CA; his stepmother Lynette Cofer; and his grandchildren, Benjamin "Ben" Cofer and Hadley Marie Rice.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801). A burial was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Catherine Cemetery (116 S State St, DuBois, PA 15801).
