He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Richter and Magdalene Richter (Zalmanek); his wife Mary Alice Swartz; and his brother John Richter. He is survived by: his daughter Patricia A. Michaels (Brian) of Boalsburg; and his brother Frank Richter (Ruth) of Beaver Falls, PA. He is also survived by one nephew and several nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. John's UCC Church, P.O. Box 88, Boalsburg, PA 16827.
