It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Marie Sowash (State College, Pennsylvania), born in Camden, New Jersey, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis McKenna and Catherine McKenna (McCaskey); her husband James Sowash; and her sisters, Patricia McKenna and Mary Powers.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Sowash of Elgin, Jeanette Copeland (Rick) of Huntsville, Jeff Sowash (Barbara) of Penna Furnace, PA, Steve Sowash (Cindy) of Finksburg, Gary Sowash (Lori) of Bellefonte, PA, Terree Michel of Port Matilda, PA and Matt Sowash of Englewood. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
