She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Rote and Ruth Rote (Spotts); her husband Lester Jay Witherite; her daughter Victoria Witherite; her grandson Matthew Witherite; and her stepson Thomas L. Doerr.
She is survived by: her sons, Russell E. Witherite (Sharon) of Morrisdale, David C. Witherite (Ellie) of PA Furnace, Wendell J. Witherite (Lisa) of Centre Hall and Curtis N. Witherite (Marie) of Colorado Springs, CO; and her stepchildren, Amy Campbell of Dallas, TX, Larry E. Doerr of State College and Charles Reed Doerr of Milesburg. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
